It can be tricky, but with a little bit of know-how, you can become a pro at hanging wall art. Decide on a focal point. Before you start hanging anything, decide on where you want your focal point to be. This is usually the largest or most prominent piece of art in the room. Find the right spot. Once you know your focal point, find the spot on the wall where you want it to go and mark it with a pencil or tape measure. Do you have a favorite piece of art that you love to display in your home? If so, hang it up like a pro! In this, we will show you how easy it is to hang wall art like a pro. We will also provide some tips on how to make sure your artwork looks its best. So, whether you are a first-time art hanger or an experienced pro to follow the interior design trends, read on for some helpful tips!
Tip #1 Arrange art in accordance with the wall's orientation.
Hang wall art in the same direction as the wall's shape. Examine the wall space's shape: is it long and narrow or tall and skinny? How you hang art on the walls in your space will be determined by your response to this question. When hanging art on your walls, the shape of the art should match the shape of the wall. What about a tall and slender wall? In portrait orientation, you'll want to hang a tall and narrow piece of art. Do you have a long and narrow wall space? When deciding how to hang art on the walls, keep in mind the height of your ceilings. If your ceilings are low, make sure there is enough space between the top of the wall and the artwork.
Tip#3 Maintain A Sense Of Balance When Hanging Art On Walls Or In Rooms.
The placement of artwork in a room or on a wall should not be too weighted to one side or the other, giving the impression that the space or wall is tipping to one side. If you're going to hang a large picture on the left side of the room, balance it out on the right side with another large artwork or a grouping of smaller works that are the same size as the large painting on the left. What is the Right Sized Art For Your Room to discover more about proper sizing for a balanced effect. This will ensure that your grouping does not exceed the available area. Painter's tape can be found at your local large box store. To picture the hanging art on the wall before you hang it, use the tape to define your planned grouping on the wall.
