One of the most difficult things about buying an oriental rug online is picturing it in your room.  Using your imagination works great, but it is so stressful, worrying that you'll be disappointed once you put your rug in place.

The Ask A Designer Service virtually places rugs into your room so you can see how it will look - before you buy it!

How Ask A Designer Works

I'll explain in detail how this service works. When you contact someone on our design team, they will walk you through this entire process so it's smooth and effortless. Contact a designer today!

Pick A Room, Or 2

First, decide which room you want. To keep your decision making easier for you, we recommend narrowing your choices down to 2 rooms at a time.

Choose A Rug, or 3

Now the fun part! Browse our online store and pick out the rugs you want to see in your home.  This is supposed to help you make a decision easier, not make it more difficult.

So, we suggest only picking your top 3 rugs for each room. If you have questions about which rug will be best, contact us. We are happy to talk you through all your questions, and help you narrow down your choices.  We even have live chat available for your convenience.

Send Us A Photo Of Your Room

Snap a picture of your room and send it to us.  If possible, try to make the room as free of distractions as you can. Don't worry about lighting or getting it "just right" - our design team will take care of making sure the pictures represent the true colors of your room and rugs.

Let Us Take It From Here

Within 48 hours, you will receive photos back of the rugs in your room. You will see your room before and after the rugs are placed.

So easy! It's so much easier to decide which rug to buy when you can see it in your room, with your furniture and wall color.

Members of our design team are more than happy to help you every step of the way. To make the design process easier and faster, please follow these easy tips:

  • The submitted image should be a well-lit image of your room (preferably in natural light, taken during the daytime).
  • If the room is not well lit, please consider turning lights on in order to get a better representation of the space.
  • The image should be a landscape orientation and sized between 40 KB and 2 MB (the more image data, the better).

  • @Tina I think one of our Vintage rugs would go nicely, to fit with the vintage cutlery you have for your dining room. You can check out our vintage collection here: https://www.rugknots.com/collections/overdyed-rugs-area-rugs-persian-rugs
I would also go for a blue that matches your wall color; I would’ve picked one out myself for you, but it could be a few different options depending on what shade of blue you use.
