There’s A Great Choice Of Rugs For Your Budget

A budget of up to $1,000 is plenty to get you a stunning hand-knotted rug – and you don’t need to compromise on size, either! True, you can pick up one of our beautiful small rugs for as little as under $100; and even a 2 x 3 rug is vibrant enough to really add something to a room. These small rugs are versatile, and are great for giving a splash of color here and there.

However, we have a fantastic selection of much larger hand-knotted rugs for under $1,000 – have a look at our 6 x 9 rugs for example. We also have a great collection of runner rugs under $1,000, which is a superb way of transforming a hallway or passage for a modest cost. Look out for rich colors and intricate designs that would breathe new life into a corridor or other narrow space.

Your budget will also give you a great choice of looks. Choose between the prettily patterned Peshawar Zieglar rugs or a bold overdyed design. There are classic Bokhara rugs with their colorful symmetrical patterns, or perhaps you prefer a bold, contemporary style such as a funky shag rug. Whatever your décor, you’ll be delighted when you see the large choice of rugs for your budget. Also, watch out for our special offers, where you can find a real bargain!

Hand-Made With The Same Expert Care

A hand-knotted rug is always made with love and attention – that’s the nature of this process! Whether you’re paying $500 or $5,000 for one of our rugs, they’re all created by our expert weavers in Pakistan, using fine New Zealand wool that’s been colored with organic dyes. Whatever their price, all our rugs are made by hand, using the traditional knotting methods which have been passed down through the generations. Our team takes real pride in each rug they produce, and every item we sell meets their exacting standards.

As well as making sure we use the best weavers, we never cut corners with our choice of wool. Wool is a fantastic material for rug-making. It’s durable, and great to work with. However, its quality can vary. We source all our wool from farms in New Zealand, where the sheep lead lovely lives and so produce excellent wool. We buy it untreated, ensuring that no chemicals have been added.

The resulting yarn is dyed using organic vegetable dyes, which again require a lot of skill and knowledge to prepare. Natural dyes are more stable than synthetic dyes, and give a real luster to the finished piece. So you see, whatever the price point, every RugKnots rug has the triple quality combination of skilled weavers, quality wool, and lasting color.

And that’s why even our lower-priced rugs are still far better value than factory-made rugs: the care that goes into every stage of a hand-knotted rug’s manufacture guarantees that it’s been made to last.
