  • Kazak Rugs are luxurious rugs that resemble the status within the tribes in the Caucasus mountains. At Rugknots, we continue the aesthetic traditions of the legendary Kazak Rugs by using wonderful designs and motifs during the 18th century. That's why our Kazak Rugs are hand-knotted using 100% wool from New Zealand and dyed using all-natural vegetable dye by experienced artisans in the traditional rug making regions of Pakistan. Each rug is then hand washed a final time to create a luxuriously soft finish. Our Kazak Rugs have a very high knot density, making them extremely durable and can last many years. • We Promise Our Rugs Are:

Searching for handmade oriental rugs? Our entire inventory of Oriental Rugs are one-of-a-kind, hand knotted rugs. Large Oriental Rugs can take years to weave, causing these popular rugs to be in high demand and low supply. However, RugKnots has been creating Oriental Rugs since 1987. We have some of the most skilled artisans in Pakistan who use old world weaving techniques.

Many synthetic rugs are dyed using chemicals that do have a risk of being toxic. We did an experiment to test the flammability of toxic rugs and the results were astonishing. All of our rugs are dyed using all natural vegetable dye. Vegetable dye prevents rug colors from bleeding or fading overtime. In fact, all Oriental Rugs should be dyed with 100% Vegetable Dyes.

We source all of our wool from New Zealand and then have the wool shipped to Pakistan to be handspun and made into our beautiful rugs. New Zealand is known to have the most ethical treatment of sheep among other countries. Our sheep are free to roam in fields, are fed adequately, and are only sheared when needed. We are proud to be among other companies that stand up against animal cruelty!

Child labor in the rug industry needs to be stopped! RugKnots is a proud sponsor to the Care & Fair Organization. We help provide education and health care to carpet knotting families in Pakistan, India, Bhadohi, and Vern. Unlike many other rug companies, RugKnots only employs expert rug weavers.
