  • Our Peshawar Ziegler Rugs are elegant, versatile and durable. They are hand-crafted in Peshawar, Pakistan, the contemporary hub of high-quality rugs, by expert rug artisans who produce only top standard hand-knotted weaves. These rugs are hand-knotted using 100% wool from New Zealand and dyed using all natural vegetable dyes. After they are dyed, they are hand stonewashed. This not only mutes the colors but leaves the wool feeling super soft. This process also helps them look antique. Peshawari Ziegler Rugs are adored all over the world because of their versatility. We recommend displaying one in your home or office. For more tips, check out this blog post on How to Design Your Office Like a Boss: Office Decor. We offer rugs at lower costs because we don't have the same overhead as other rug makers. Plus, you can buy as many as you want because shipping is always free. We also donate 15% of the rug's proceeds for helping build schools in Pakistan.

Searching for handmade oriental rugs? Our entire inventory of Oriental Rugs are one-of-a-kind, hand knotted rugs. Large Oriental Rugs can take years to weave, causing these popular rugs to be in high demand and low supply. However, RugKnots has been creating Oriental Rugs since 1987. We have some of the most skilled artisans in Pakistan who use old world weaving techniques.

Many synthetic rugs are dyed using chemicals that do have a risk of being toxic. We did an experiment to test the flammability of toxic rugs and the results were astonishing. All of our rugs are dyed using all natural vegetable dye. Vegetable dye prevents rug colors from bleeding or fading overtime. In fact, all Oriental Rugs should be dyed with 100% Vegetable Dyes.

We source all of our wool from New Zealand and then have the wool shipped to Pakistan to be handspun and made into our beautiful rugs. New Zealand is known to have the most ethical treatment of sheep among other countries. Our sheep are free to roam in fields, are fed adequately, and are only sheared when needed. We are proud to be among other companies that stand up against animal cruelty!

Child labor in the rug industry needs to be stopped! RugKnots is a proud sponsor to the Care & Fair Organization. We help provide education and health care to carpet knotting families in Pakistan, India, Bhadohi, and Vern. Unlike many other rug companies, RugKnots only employs expert rug weavers.
