Looks like more expensive rugs costing much more!

I purchased this rug for a room in my home that I was making into an office. I'm attaching a picture of the unfinished room. The rug was a beautiful contrast to my hardwoods, and I love the tawny mustard mixture and hint of brick red in the pattern. Very neutral in the sense that it's not contemporary or too traditional. The rug is wool and does pill quite a lot and requires frequent vacuuming, but it wasn't a problem as I frequently vacuum anyway. If you like these Pottery Barn looking colours without the Pottery Barn price, this might be a good option for you too.

Exactly as pictured

Ordered the 8' x 9' Oriental tawny mustard and beige coloured rug, and it is the same as pictured here in the RugKnots site. Not sure why others are saying it's lighter or more dark unless it's the lighting in their room? I've attached two pictures, one in natural daylight, and the other with incandescent overhead lighting, which does give a slight difference in the colour shades. I have ordered a few RugKnots rugs previously, and this one included, I've never been disappointed with the quality of the carpet for the price. The rug came folded first, then rolled, because of the size I presume, and it played down perfectly without a wrinkle. It did take two vacuumings to get the loose fibers off of it. I love this rug!

Great quality, price and pretty look

I have a smaller version of this I ordered first to see the colours and quality. I like it, so I ordered a larger size to go under our kitchen table. It was very nice too but felt much darker in the room than I thought it would, and, because of the deepness of the pile, it was hard to move the chairs in and out from the table. Mostly the moving chairs were the issue. The colouring is beautiful if muted. I returned the larger size. However, I was helping a friend redecorate her living room around the same time and brought the little guy to her house, and she loved it so much she bought the 8' x 9,' and it looks fantastic, and she loves it! If I needed a living or family room rug, I would not hesitate. Just not great for places you need to move chairs (office, dining, etc.). The wool is soft and comforting on the feet. Synthetics can't compare, and the yarn isn't that hard to clean (I have two kids and two dogs and manage). I have antique Persian rugs, pottery barn rugs, Anthropologie rugs and this little guy. While it isn't the same quality as the handwoven antiques from my great grandmother (that I can't possibly afford more of, and they are thinner and more difficult to clean), this rug has the same quality as pottery barn (would not be shocked if made by same manufacturer) for a fraction of the price because it doesn't say pottery Barn on it. The singular concern I have is whether the factories are run humanely and fairly.

Highly recommend!

I couldn’t be more pleased with a rug. I previously purchased an expensive area rug, and this is 8x9 equally as beautiful for an excellent price. The tones are a muted tawny-mustard with beautiful, natural, and scattered print. Heavyweight and lays flat and no curling at all. I’ve included a picture, and the image accurately depicts the colours.

Great Color and Soft, thick texture.

Beautiful rug. It feels thick under my bare feet. It has a great colour and a soft texture. It does shed like nobody's business. We've had it for four months now, and you can still see small wool hairs that we track from this rug to a darker one. We don't always vacuum every week, so this may be why it has lasted so long.
