We want you to love your rug. If for any reason you're not completely satisfied, we accept returns within 30 days of delivery on all eligible orders within the United States. Return shipping is on us β free of charge.
Email us your order number and we'll send your RA# and prepaid label within 1β2 business days.

What Items Are Eligible for Return?
Most RugKnots rugs are fully returnable within 30 days. However, the following items are not eligible for return:
- Items marked as Final Sale or Clearance
- Custom or made-to-order rugs
- Rug pads that have been opened or used
- Items that have been soiled, damaged after delivery, or show signs of use
- Orders returned without a Return Authorization Number (RA#)
- Returns initiated more than 30 days after delivery
How to Start a Return

1Contact us to request your Return Authorization Number (RA#)
Email us at [email protected] or call (240) 452-5452 with your order number and the reason for your return. We'll reply with your RA# and a prepaid FedEx return label within 1β2 business days.

2Prepare your rug for return
Wrap your rug securely in protective packaging before shipping. Acceptable wrapping materials include the original packaging (remove or cover old shipping labels), a transparent shower liner, plastic paint drop cloths, or any sturdy plastic wrap. Loose or unwrapped items cannot be accepted by FedEx.

3Attach your return label
Place the label inside a FedEx Shipping Pouch (available free at any FedEx location) and attach it to your package, or tape the label directly to the wrapped rug ensuring the entire label surface is covered with clear tape.

4Drop off at any FedEx location
Bring your packaged rug to any FedEx Office, FedEx Ship Center, FedEx Alliance location (Office Depot, OfficeMax), or FedEx Authorized Shipping Outlet near you.
What Condition Does My Rug Need to Be In?
The rug must be returned in its original, unused condition to be eligible for a full refund. We are unable to accept returns on rugs that have been:
- Visibly soiled or stained after delivery
- Damaged after delivery (tears, cuts, burns, etc.)
- Folded with tape or staples applied directly to the rug surface
- Returned without original protective wrapping
What If My Rug Arrives Damaged or Defective?
If your rug arrives damaged from transit or has a manufacturing defect, we will make it right β no return shipping required. Please contact us within 14 days of delivery with the following:
- Your order number
- A brief description of the issue
- Clear photos of the rug, any damage, the packaging, and the label on the back of the rug (full-length and close-up shots are most helpful)
- Whether you'd prefer a replacement or a full refund
When Will I Receive My Refund?
Once your returned rug is received at our facility and passes inspection, we will process your refund within 5β10 business days. After that, please allow an additional 3β7 business days for your bank or credit card provider to reflect the credit on your statement. You'll receive an email confirmation once your refund has been issued.
Can I Exchange My Rug Instead of Returning It?
At this time, we don't process direct exchanges. If you'd like a different rug, please initiate a return for your original order and place a new order for the item you prefer. This allows you to secure your new rug immediately without waiting for the return to be processed. If you'd like help selecting an alternative rug, our team is happy to assist β just reach out before or during your return process.
