Is shipping really free?
Yes β RugKnots offers free standard shipping on all orders within the contiguous United States. No minimum order, no exceptions. Shipping is always free, whether you're ordering a small accent rug or a large 10x14 area rug.
Where does RugKnots ship?
We ship to all 50 states within the United States. At this time, we do not offer standard international shipping. If you're located outside the US and interested in placing an order, please contact us at [email protected] β we'll do our best to help.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Most orders are processed and dispatched within 1β2 business days. Once shipped, standard delivery typically takes 3β5 business days depending on your location. Total estimated time from order to delivery is 4β7 business days for most customers.

What carrier will deliver my order?
We ship all standard orders via FedEx or UPS. Once your order is dispatched, you'll receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking number. You can use this to monitor your delivery in real time and see the estimated arrival date.

Do you offer expedited shipping?
At this time, our standard shipping (3β5 business days after processing) is the primary delivery option. If you have an urgent need, please contact us at [email protected] before placing your order and we'll check what options are available for your item and location.
Packaging & Delivery
How is my rug packaged?
Your rug will be tightly rolled and wrapped in protective packaging before shipping. Larger or oversized rugs may be folded for transit β this is completely normal and will not cause any permanent damage. Fold lines and light creases will naturally relax within 1β3 days once the rug is laid flat at room temperature. You can also gently roll the rug in the opposite direction to help it flatten faster.
What if I live in an apartment or building with gated access?
For standard parcel deliveries (FedEx/UPS), your package will be delivered to your building's regular package drop location, front desk, or mailroom if available. Please add any special delivery instructions to your order at checkout.
For freight deliveries, curbside delivery applies. If your building has specific access requirements or a loading dock, please contact us before your order ships so we can coordinate with the freight carrier.

What if I'm not home when my order arrives?
For standard FedEx/UPS deliveries, the carrier will typically attempt delivery up to 3 times. If no one is available, a delivery notice will be left and you can arrange a redelivery or pickup directly with the carrier using the tracking number in your shipping confirmation email.
For freight deliveries, a delivery appointment is required β if you miss your appointment without rescheduling in advance, redelivery fees may apply.

What if I need to refuse a delivery?
Please do not refuse delivery unless the item is visibly and severely damaged. Unauthorized refusals may result in return shipping costs being deducted from your refund. If there is a legitimate issue with your order at the time of delivery, contact us at (240) 452-5452 before refusing so we can advise you on the best course of action.
Freight Delivery (Large Rugs)
My order is shipping via freight β what should I expect?
Very large rugs may ship via freight carrier rather than standard parcel delivery. Here's what to expect:
Scheduling: The freight carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery appointment. Please ensure someone is available at the scheduled time. Carriers typically allow a 15-minute window β if the driver has to wait beyond this, additional fees may apply.
Delivery location: Freight deliveries are made curbside β the driver will bring the rug to the curb or ground-level entry of your address. The carrier is not responsible for bringing it inside. Please plan accordingly, especially for large or heavy rugs.
Inspection (critical): Carefully inspect your order before signing for delivery. If the outer packaging shows any signs of damage, open it immediately and inspect the rug with the driver present. Note any damage clearly on both your copy and the carrier's copy of the delivery receipt. If the rug is damaged beyond use, refuse the delivery and contact us immediately at (240) 452-5452.

Damaged or Problem Orders
What if my rug arrives damaged?
If your rug arrives with damage caused during transit, contact us as soon as possible β ideally the same day β at (240) 452-5452 or [email protected]. Please include your order number and clear photos of both the damaged packaging and the rug itself. Do not discard the original packaging, as it may be needed for a carrier claim.
